Become a Camp HOPE Volunteer!

We are looking for more staff for our Camp HOPE weekends and you may be able to help! I have included a list of volunteer job opportunities.

For our upcoming Fall 2017 camp in just a week and a half, we are secure with most jobs but we are still in need of some extra Kitchen Staff. If you are interested, please see the Kitchen Staff description below.

For future camps, please take a look at ALL of the available volunteer opportunities below.

(Please note that most all of our volunteer positions are an entire weekend commitment. This is very important to us as it provides consistency and familiarity to the campers. And most importantly, it gives our volunteers the full experience of how our camp impacts families - and each camp weekend, we become a close-knit Camp HOPE family. I would also like to mention that we don't take just anyone. We take volunteers who are passionate about our mission, love kids and have experience with grief/loss. We also require an application form and we run a background check on all of our volunteers.)

Counselors - We are always looking for volunteers to lead the kids in fun activities for the weekend, be there for them and listen to them. Our new counselors are always put with veteran staff who have been doing this for years, and keep coming back again and again. This is quite the rewarding role at Camp HOPE. Kitchen Staff - Our kitchen is run by all volunteers. They are a great, fun group who are essential to the operation of the weekend. They get to see the campers during mealtimes, jam out in the kitchen and stay in cozy cabins together. Grab a friend and sign up together!

Photographer - This is the only position that does not require an entire weekend commitment. Our photographers will need to be at camp from roughly 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Arts & Crafts - This is a role for a couple people to run throughout the weekend. We have some scheduled crafts but also have open craft times when you'd be available to help kids be creative. We currently have an art teacher leading this but we always need to provide help for her and a back-up if she is ever unavailable.

Nurses - We accept nursing staff to help with medications throughout the weekend and be on hand in case of emergencies when we need to contact parents or not so big emergencies (band-aids and a sucker).

Special Presenters/Workshops - If you have experience in leading groups of kids or adults in activities and have an appropriate idea for us to include in our weekends, please don't hesitate to contact us with your thoughts. We are open to new ideas.

You can start the process by sending me an email at camphope89@gmail.com

Thank you so much for your interest! We hope you consider joining our Camp HOPE family.
