Spring Camp HOPE- May 14-15!
Spring Camp HOPE- May 14-15 (Registration Now Open)
Greetings from Camp HOPE! After a long wait, we are so happy to share that Camp HOPE will be hosting our Spring weekend bereavement camp in person on May 14-15!
Camp HOPE is a local nonprofit that has been operating for over 30 years. We offer weekend bereavement camps to grieving children and teens and their adult family members at no cost. The camps are held three times per year (spring, fall and a winter reunion camp) at the Wisconsin Lion's Camp in Rosholt, WI.
Campers will enjoy the same activities of a typical summer camp, such as hiking, boating, fishing, campfires, ropes courses, group activities, sports, folk music, yoga, DJ music and games as well as memorial arts and crafts, journaling, workbooks and a very special candlelight service in the evening. At Camp HOPE, kids learn that it is OK to have fun and laugh and that in doing so is not disrespectful to their loved one who died. They also build strong connections and feel affirmed with other kids their age who have experienced similar losses and are processing difficult emotions, secondary losses and major changes as well. Camp HOPE is a safe, equitable space for everyone, whether a camper or volunteer staff member.
Our next camp will be offered May 14-15, 2022. Registration is now open!
