THE

DREADED

CLICHÉ

We’ve all heard

about it

but what is a

“CLICHÉ”

-----------------------------

It’s like a song on

the radio that’s

overplayed. It’s

something that people

say over and over

kind of like a go-to line

or scripted saying.

-----------------------------

Here are some of the

cliché’s you’ve probably

heard:

WHAT?? Everyone is going to feel completely different!

This is really hard considering all we want to do is cry or holler or get mad.

Bet you’re not really thinking about how you knew you could handle the death of someone you love.

They don’t have to suffer but you sure are hurting! All you want to do is be with that person- better place or not.

We probably can’t imagine anything worse than the death of a loved one.

“I know just how you feel”

Keep your chin up.”

“You’re only given as much as you can handle.”

“Your loved one is in a better place. They don’t have to suffer anymore.”

“If you look around, there’s always someone worse off”

Our guess is that when you open a newspaper, you don't read the articles!  Most people (even adults)

like to check out the comic  strip section.  Have you ever thought of creating your own?

Here’s your chance! Pick who you want to star in your comic strip, sketch what you think he or she will look like, decide if you want it to be funny or action-packed, and most of all HAVE FUN!!!

Why?  Understand that people want to be supportive but don’t always know how.  Be patient.

Keep in mind that when people say these things to you, they are sincerely trying to show they care.  Even though you’re not alone in your loss, there are still people who haven’t experienced what you are experiencing.
