What’s New at Camp HOPE? Kids were taking a look in the sky at the newest arrival at camp—a hot air balloon! You’ve probably seen them at one time or another with bright colors dangling in the air. These colorful wonders hang in the air because of some simple science. Ever hear the phrase hot air rises, cold air sinks? That’s why there’s a giant flame raging away to keep the balloon afloat among the clouds. The hot air pushes against the balloon to keep it up. If it’s landing time, the pilot just lets off the flame and allows the air to cool. How cool is that?! |

Waiting in line for lunch when you’re a starving kid just isn’t a ton of fun. As if waiting isn’t bad enough, what if the food looks like it came out of a witch’s couldrin when you finally DO get to the front of the line? GROSS! There are those days when kids are pleasantly surprised—like pizza day. That’s right! PIZZA is the most popular school lunch in the US. What are some other favorite school hot—lunch foods you have?
